Here at the Cosmetic Dental Clinic, our dentists have found that most dental patients now prefer to have their decayed teeth, or old metal-based silver fillings replaced with a tooth coloured alternative.

Due to the advances in dental materials science and technology, tooth coloured restorations have now entered an era of absolute confidence in their physical properties as an improved alternative to metal amalgam fillings. Tooth coloured restorations, when placed by our skilled clinicians, have now reached such a high standard that the restorations are indistinguishable from the remaining natural tooth structure that they are bonded to.

Due to the associated health issues associated with amalgam restorations and also due to the much improved aesthetics of  a tooth coloured restoration, here at the Cosmetic Dental Clinic the old fashioned amalgam restorations are obsolete. In terms of simple tooth restorations we believe tooth coloured fillings have become the standard of care.
