The All-on-4 Procedure
Many patients are surprised to learn how quickly we can place All-on-4 implants. Understanding what to expect from the process can help you relax during your treatment.
Your Initial Consultation
As with any other dental procedure, weโll start with an initial consultation to discuss your dental problems and general health and assess your teeth and gums. At this stage, weโll take digital scans of your jaw to determine whether thereโs enough bone mass to support your implants.
During this appointment, weโll also discuss finance options and talk you through your treatment plan.
The Procedure
Before placing your implants, weโll give you an anaesthetic to reduce discomfort. Once the anaesthetic is working, weโll start the procedure by placing the implants one by one.
Once the implants are in, weโll fit your temporary teeth. You will wear these while we make your bespoke smile. Donโt worry; although theyโre not the perfect final teeth youโre waiting for, youโll be impressed with how good they look.
Recovery and Aftercare
You will need to eat soft food in the days after your treatment. Then, gradually, as your jaw regains strength, you can return to a healthy diet, knowing everything is back on the menu!
It can take several months for your bone to heal around your implants fully. Youโll continue wearing your temporary teeth until the jaw has healed and we place your custom-made teeth.
