The All-on-4 Procedure
Many patients are surprised to learn how quickly we can place All-on-4 implants. Understanding what to expect from the process can help you relax during your treatment.
Your Initial Consultation
As with any other dental procedure, we’ll start with an initial consultation to discuss your dental problems and general health and assess your teeth and gums. At this stage, we’ll take digital scans of your jaw to determine whether there’s enough bone mass to support your implants.
During this appointment, we’ll also discuss finance options and talk you through your treatment plan.
The Procedure
Before placing your implants, we’ll give you an anaesthetic to reduce discomfort. Once the anaesthetic is working, we’ll start the procedure by placing the implants one by one.
Once the implants are in, we’ll fit your temporary teeth. You will wear these while we make your bespoke smile. Don’t worry; although they’re not the perfect final teeth you’re waiting for, you’ll be impressed with how good they look.
Recovery and Aftercare
You will need to eat soft food in the days after your treatment. Then, gradually, as your jaw regains strength, you can return to a healthy diet, knowing everything is back on the menu!
It can take several months for your bone to heal around your implants fully. You’ll continue wearing your temporary teeth until the jaw has healed and we place your custom-made teeth.
